We've made some major performance enhancements to WooCommerce, making your online store faster and more efficient for both you and your customers.
We've supercharged WooCommerce performance on the Rapyd platform through two key enhancements:
Elasticsearch Integration: By integrating the ElasticPress plugin and a local Elasticsearch server, we've dramatically improved the speed and efficiency of your product searches. This means your customers can find what they're looking for faster, resulting in a smoother shopping experience.
LiteSpeed Cache for WooCommerce: This advanced caching solution, featuring "smart purge" technology, ensures that your cache remains up-to-date, keeping your pages loading incredibly quickly. Additionally, Live Cart provides each customer with a dedicated private cart cache using LiteSpeed Edge Side Includes (ESIs), which means each user's cart is stored in their own private cache for an exceptionally smooth shopping experience.
These new features can be managed from the WooCommerce tab in the site management area, which is visible for any site that has WooCommerce installed.
New WooCommerce Sites: These enhancements are automatically enabled for new WooCommerce installations. Simply check the "Add WooCommerce to this site" checkbox during the Add Site flow.
Existing WooCommerce Sites: For sites that already have WooCommerce installed, you can activate these new features by navigating to the WooCommerce tab in your Rapyd dashboard and turning them on.
Important Note:
These performance enhancements are available for Developer plans and above. If you're on a Lite plan, we encourage you to consider upgrading to unlock the full potential of your online store.

We're thrilled to announce significant enhancements to our dashboard file manager, designed to streamline your workflow and boost productivity.
You can quickly and easily duplicate files in the Rapyd file manager. This makes troubleshooting a bit faster and easier, and you don't need to worry about using an FTP client. Note that duplicated files will be appended with "-1".
Use the file manager to move your files and folders to any other area of your file tree. This is especially handy with the Duplicate feature!
This is an enhancement to our dashboard’s file manager, which can be found in the Settings section of the left-hand menu for your site.
Once you’re in the file manager, click the three dots to the right of a file or directory’s name and an action menu will appear. Click either Duplicate or Move, and you’re good to go!
For a more details about how to use the file manager in the Rapyd dashboard, check out our knowledge base guide: Introduction to File Manager on the Rapyd Dashboard

Say goodbye to lengthy troubleshooting! We've introduced a new feature that lets you grant temporary access to your Rapyd dashboard directly to our support team. This allows our team to quickly see relevant information and fix issues affecting your website or dashboard functionalities much faster.
Some benefits of this include:
Faster Resolutions: Our support team can diagnose issues directly, leading to quicker fixes.
Improved Accuracy: They have access to relevant information for a more precise diagnosis.
Simplified Communication: No need to explain technical details – they can see it themselves!
To grant our support team access to your Rapyd dashboard, follow these steps:
Log in to your Rapyd dashboard and click the "Get Help" button.
From the dropdown menu, select "Support Access."
Click "Approve Rapyd access" to grant temporary access. Remember, you're always in control!
This feature has some built-in limitations for your peace of mind:
Our team can only view your dashboard, not perform sensitive actions like adding users or modifying billing.
Access expires automatically after 14 days for added security.
You can revoke access anytime directly through the "Support Access" menu.

We’re excited to announce two big features, all wrapped up in one small button. Our Get help button aims to make it easy to access important help resources, and the Rapyd Feedback Center is a portal that allows you to stay up to date with our product development and actively participate in the future of Rapyd!
The Rapyd dashboard now has a Get help button in the main menu that makes contacting our support team, finding helpful guides, and sharing product feedback easier than ever. We’ve introduced this feature to empower you to find what you need when you need it.
Clicking the Get help button opens a small menu that contains four sections:
Resources
Here you can find handy links to our Getting Started Guide, the full Knowledge Base, and the Rapyd Blog.
Product
This section has links to give feedback, see our product roadmap, and our product changelog.See below for more about giving feedback.
Support
This section offers another way to get in contact with our support team. You can Start a live chat or view tickets that you currently have open.
Account support plan
This area shows information about your account’s support plan as well as a link to manage your support plan.
From day one, a major goal of ours was to make sharing feedback a seamless and meaningful experience. With the Rapyd feedback center, we’re a major step closer to this goal.
You can access the feedback center either through the Get help button mentioned above, or you can go directly to feedback.rapyd.cloud, where you’ll see three tabs: Feedback, Roadmap, and Changelog.
Feedback
This is an interactive board where you can post feedback and see new, top, and trending feedback that other Rapyd users have shared.
Roadmap
Here you can see and interact with what we have planned for development!
Changelog
This is a running log of updates, big and small, so you have context about why we released a certain feature and how you can make the most of it.
To start using these new features, simply log into your Rapyd account and click on the Get help button. From there, you can give feedback through a popup that appears, which goes straight to our feedback center as a post.
If you want to access the Feedback Center directly, you can go to feedback.rapyd.cloud, or simply click Product roadmap or Changelog in the Get help button. To log in to the feedback center, use your Rapyd Dashboard credentials.

Say goodbye to contacting our support team whenever you want to restore a backup of your site. You can now restore site backups from directly in the dashboard.
We've finished building and testing the functionality of the restore backups feature, and now it's all yours. From the Backups area of the dashboard, select the backup version that you wish to restore and click Restore.
The process usually takes about 5-10 minutes, but if your site is very large, it may take longer. While your backup is being restored, we switch your site into the WordPress maintenance mode, but this will disappear automatically when the restore is complete.
Some other important notes to keep in mind when restoring backups are:
To restore a backup, you must have taken a backup within the past hour. If you haven't, our dashboard will prompt you to do so. This is so that there is a reliable rollback version just in case something goes wrong during the backup recovery process. We plan to automate this as part of the entire restore backup process in the future.
If a backup recovery stalls, contact our support team. We’ve got a process in place to fix it.
You’ll receive some emails during the recovery process - once when the recovery begins and another when it is complete.
Restoring a site backup includes web files and the database.
You can learn more about restoring backups in the dashboard in the following knowledge base article: How to Restore a Backup

Improved
We've rolled out a feature that displays the status of the backup download link creation process in the form of a percentage. This feature allows you to manage your time more efficiently while you wait for the link to be ready, as the link preparation process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours depending on the size of the site backup.
Download a backup as you normally would in the dashboard. Then, every minute, our dashboard checks on the status of the download link creation process and displays it in the backups area of the dashboard.
See our Knowledge Base article on how to download backups of your site from the dashboard: How to Download a Site Backup

Our Lite plan lets you host your low-traffic and static websites on Rapyd alongside your dynamic and resource-hungry sites. Now you can add this plan to your order before you checkout.
Before, you could only purchase Lite plans from the Rapyd dashboard. This meant that you needed to make your initial purchase, then make another purchase later on. We've made this process a bit easier. Now, when you sign up for Rapyd, you can add Lite plans to your cart to purchase at the same time as your Developer, Startup, Performance, or Enterprise plan.

Improved
As we continue to listen to customer feedback and roll out new features, we've needed to rethink how we present plan information before purchase. We think we did a pretty alright job!
You'll now see a nifty window that shows a bunch of important information about the plan that you've selected. All you have to do is hover over the question mark icon and the window will appear.
If you want to see more detailed breakdowns of all Rapyd plans, check out the following knowledge base article: Comparing Rapyd Plans

Improved
Nobody likes dealing with multiple time zones more than they have to, so we made backup scheduling a bit easier for you!
Scheduling backups is no longer only in UTC—you can now specify the timezone that you prefer. This makes it a bit easier to schedule your backups during off-peak hours.
The timezone that you set will be visible in the backups area and the backups will take place at that time, but the details for each completed backup will still be shown in UTC.
If you'd like to learn more about scheduling backups, check out our knowledge base article: Creating and Managing Backups
